NSI’s mission is to raise standards in the security and fire industries in the interests of you, the customer. To become NSI approved BusinessWatch Group had to:
- Meet the highest business performance standards.
- Meet all relevant British and European Standards for technical performance.
- Security screen all relevant staff (security companies).
- Provide a high level of staff training and supervision to industry best practice standards.
- Be comprehensively insured to protect customers and staff.
- Be inspected every six months by professional auditors including random site visits.
As an accredited and approved NSI company you can have the peace of mind that not only do we meet or exceed the highest possible business performance standards – both British and European – but all relevant staff are security screened for your safety.
British Approvals for Fire Equipment (BAFE) is the independent, third party certification registration organisation for the fire protection industry. BAFE third party certificated schemes are a recognised measure of the quality required to provide fire protection services. BAFE is supported by Statutory bodies, the Fire and Rescue Services, Insurers and leading Certification and Trade Bodies.
SecuriPlex, part of the BusinessWatch Group, hold ISO 14001 accreditation.
ISO 14001 requires that a company considers all environmental issues relevant to its operations, such as air pollution, water and sewage issues, waste management, soil contamination, climate change mitigation and adaptation, and resource use and efficiency.
Constructionline is the UK’s largest register of contractors, consultants and material suppliers for the construction industry. Gold accreditation demonstrates a company’s commitment to the highest standards of governance and risk management. This includes environmental management and quality management.
SafeContractor is an accreditation, which demonstrates that we meet specific standards of health and safety.
It is designed to review and audit health and safety policies, procedures and documentation.
SIA & NASDU
The Security Industry Authority is the organisation responsible for regulating the private security industry. Our BusinessWatch Guarding division directly employs over 40 SIA licensed security officers. SIA licensing ensures that security officers are ‘fit and proper’ persons who are properly trained and qualified to do their job.
We also ensure that our dog handlers hold full National Association of Security Dog Users (NASDU) membership. NASDU aim to maintain nationally recognised training and operational standards for dog handlers and trainers, as well as maintain standards of care, health, safety and welfare of security dogs.
The Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE) assesses knowledge of fire and professional experience, awarding internationally recognised membership grades and fire-related qualifications. The Fire Warden training course provided by FireSafetyExpress (part of the BusinessWatch Group) is an IFE recognised training course.
The Cyber Essentials scheme is a cyber security standard, which organisations can be assessed and certified against. It identifies the security controls that an organisation must have in place within their IT systems in order to have confidence that they are addressing cyber security effectively and mitigating the risk from Internet-based threats.
