With the UK aiming for 5% of the workforce to be made up of apprentices, and the public sector targeted to ensure apprenticeships positions make up 2.3% of the workforce by 2020, BusinessWatch Group are proud to announce that no less than 10% of the workforce is made up of apprentices.
Apprenticeship Champions are chosen through positive promotion of apprenticeships to young people and creating opportunities for all regardless of ability. With an industry-wide shortage of fire and security engineers, encouraging young people into the industry is vital. Jonathan continues: “We have apprentices across all departments, but training new engineers is a major part of our succession planning in order to ensure we continue to deliver the best service possible for our customers.”
