fire alarm monitoring services

What is the Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC)?

Our ARC is a secure centre where systems are monitored for activation signals. Systems such as intruder alarms, fire alarms and CCTV systems can be triggered at any time, so the ARC provides reassurance that your systems are monitored 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

What happens when the ARC receives an activation signal?

On receiving an alarm notification, a Monitoring Centre Operative will look at the alarm image and check the live feed. If the notification is confirmed, they will then issue an audio notice. Following this, they call the keyholders or initiate a police response. A mini report of the incident is then compiled and sent direct to the customer.

What accreditations does the ARC have?

Our Alarm Receiving Centre holds the full BS 5979 Cat II accreditation and is approved to the NSI’s Gold Scheme.

The National Security Inspectorate (NSI) is recognised as the leading certification body for the security and fire protection industries in the UK.

Businesses and homeowners who choose NSI approved companies have the reassurance that their fire and security company will work to the highest industry standards demanded by the Police, Fire and Rescue Services and the insurance industry.

Specialist Services

Our ARC has the added benefit of being able to provide specialist services. These include:

  • Remote concierge and virtual operator
  • Data storage and monitoring
  • Server failure monitoring
  • Cold storage monitoring
  • Remote access control services
  • Call handling services

Why is our ARC different?

Our ARC essentially provides the same services as other ARCs in the country. But what makes us different is our outstanding level of customer service. Our Monitoring Centre Operatives undergo rigorous, in-depth training on a regular basis to ensure they’re at the forefront of their profession.

Dan TolliverDan Tolliver, Monitoring Centre Manager, says: “We really pride ourselves on being honest and transparent. That’s key to providing our customers with the service levels they expect and deserve. We’ve taken on a number of new customers recently who haven’t had that service level from their existing providers, with signals being missed and reports not being submitted. Our customers receive a full report of all incidents for complete transparency. Ensuring our customers’ premises are fully protected 24/7 is paramount to our service provision.”

Recent feedback from existing customers includes:

“Good work on the two incidents of intrusion at our site last night. We are already glad that we changed monitoring centres.”

“You did an amazing job. We can’t thank you enough for last night.”

“I would like to express my gratitude for the excellent service provided over the last 7 years. May it continue for the next 7.”
