Access Control Installation

Having your access control system designed and installed by a third party approved company ensures that you’ll not only receive a superior service, but you’re protected against inferior workmanship.

Using a third party accredited company ensures that your access control installation meets a set of criteria and standards.

NSI Approved

BusinessWatch are a National Security Inspectorate (NSI) Silver approved company. With over 40 years’ experience, NSI has a reputation as the leading specialist certification body for the fire and security industry. As a NSI approved company, we are regularly audited to ensure we continue to meet their strict criteria, and NSI audits are renowned as thorough, professional and amongst the toughest in the industry.

As an accredited and approved NSI company you can have the peace of mind that not only do we meet or exceed the highest possible business performance standards – both British and European – but all relevant staff are security screened for your safety. You, your business premises and the security of your employees is our main priority.

Access Control System Quotation

The initial step is for one of our expert access control consultants to visit your premises for an in-depth consultation and site survey. This helps us to really understand what you’re trying to achieve with regards to your access security, and we can guide you through the options available, answer any questions and may even suggest solutions you may not have considered.

Following this consultation, our in-house design team will then specify an access control solution to suit your specific business requirements. Whether your main concern is to control employee access to certain areas, monitor time management of staff, or link access control solutions for multiple sites, your system will be designed with your specifications in mind.

Based on this design, you’ll then receive a in-depth proposal detailing suggested systems, various options and legal considerations.

Access Control System Installation

On acceptance of the proposal, our Service Centre of Excellence will contact you to arrange a suitable time for installation of your access control system. You’ll receive a phone call from your NSI approved engineer beforehand to let you know they’re on their way. They’ll then install your access control system to strict NSI guidelines.

Commissioning

Once your access control system is installed, your BusinessWatch engineer will commission the system. You will be issued with an NSI Certificate of Compliance to state that your system meets the minimum NSI standards.

Your engineer will demonstrate to you or the relevant person how to use the system and answer any questions you may have.

You’ll also receive a Security System Log Book. This has sections to detail the following:

  1. Details of the premises, the administrator and the installer’s and maintenance company’s details
  2. A record of the access control equipment on-site and the areas protected
  3. Maintenance Log: to record all maintenance/service visits and any actions taken
  4. Temporary disconnection record
  5. Faults and repairs
