Engineering Apprentices
June 22, 2017

We’re delighted that four of our valued apprentices competed in the Engineers of Tomorrow competition yesterday at IFSEC International. The apprentices had to complete a live installation challenge, working in pairs to install and commission an intruder alarm system.

Apprentices at Engineers of TomorrowEngineers of Tomorrow promotes engineering apprenticeships to young people interested in a career in the electronic security sector. The competition not only highlights the future talent in the industry, but encourages employers to appreciate their apprentices as a valuable asset within their organisations.

Jonathan Wakerley, Managing Director of BusinessWatch says: “We had two pairs of apprentices in the competition, one from BusinessWatch and one from SecuriPlex (part of the BusinessWatch Group). I watched them both and have to say their professionalism and standard of work was second to none. They did us proud!”

Heat winners will be announced shortly, and will be invited to attend the Security & Fire Excellence Awards in November where the overall winner will be announced.
